April Concert Cancelled
Dear Valued Season Ticket Holders and Friends,
I am reaching out to share some important updates regarding our upcoming Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra season. Due to significant financial challenges —
including loss of our long-term lease, unexpected grant losses, and a decline
in corporate sponsorships — we have made the difficult decision to cancel our
April 24th concert.
We understand this may be disappointing, and we share in your regret. Please know this decision was not made lightly. It is a necessary step to ensure the long-term
artistic excellence and sustainability of the TPO.
However, we are pleased to share some exciting news! We are actively planning a special Christmas concert to honor the founders and musicians who have shaped TPO’s rich history. This meaningful event will only be possible with the support of
our community, and we are working to raise $42,000 to bring it to life. As a
valued supporter and friend, your tickets will be honored at this concert,
ensuring you continue to experience the music you love.
Your support means everything to us, especially during challenging times. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to TPO and our mission to bring extraordinary
orchestral music to our community.
Thank you for standing with us. We look forward to celebrating the season and our shared musical heritage together at this special Christmas concert.
With appreciation,
Dr. Steve Payne
